Tonights Free NBA Pick – 4/6/10 – Thunder vs. JAZZ

Posted in Uncategorized on April 6, 2010 by edluva

Free NBA Basketball Pick– Tuesday April 6, 2010 8:00pm (cst) – Oklahoma City Thunder (48-28) vs. UTAH JAZZ (50-27)

Betting on basketball tonight? I found another UNDER that I like in the NBA tonight! The posted total on this game is currently at (211.5).  Here is what the ACE found on these (2) teams:

UTAH JAZZ                Points For         Points Against                Total
Season                                 104          +               98.2                =      202.2                                                                              Home                                 107.3        +                97                   =      204.3                                                                                                            Last 5                                 106.4        +             103.4               =     209.8                                                                                                                  Division                            105.5         +            103.7               =     209.2

OklCty Thunder         Points For           Points Against               Total
Season                              100.9           +              97.1            =        198                                                                              Away                                 100.1           +              98.3            =        198.4                                                                                                           Last 5                                 108.8           +            102.6           =        211.4                                                                                                   Division                            97.8              +             95.9             =       193.7

None of the above scenarios totals a final score of (211.5) or more!

When looking at head-to-head over the last 6 meetings here is what I found:

3/14/10 – Utah 111 vs. Okl City 119 = 230                                                                                                                                          12/31/09 – Utah 86 vs Okl Cty 87 = 173                                                                                                                                              11/24/09 – Okl Cty 104 vs Utah 94 = 198                                                                                                                                             3/20/09 – Utah 101 vs Okl Cty 94 = 195                                                                                                                                               1/30/09 – Olk Cty 90 vs. Utah 110 = 200                                                                                                                                              1/14/09 – Utah 93  vs. Okl Cty 114 – 207

5 of their last 6 meeting have went UNDER the total of (211.5)! Their last game (230), both teams shot over 50% from the floor and the Jazz actually shot over 60% from the floor and over 50% from 3pt land! So, the odds of those nembers repeating themselves, are not that high.

Here is the last bit of info I have for you on these (2) teams:

  • The Jazz have went UNDER (211.5) 7 of their last 10 Home games and 7 of their last 10 games overall
  • The Thunder have went UNDER (211.5) 7 of their last Away games and 5 of their last 10 overall

I have been wrong in the past. However, the way I see it, all signs point to a great game ending with a total UNDER (211.5). Lock and load!

FREE NBA Pick – Jazz vs. Clippers – 3/1/10

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , on March 1, 2010 by edluva

Today’s FREE NBA Pick from The ACE of Sports Picks, http://www.TheACEofSPortsPicks.com, comes from the Western Conference, where the Utah Jazz visit the LA Clippers. Both teams are entering this game tonight with impressive Home/Away numbers as of late. The LA Clippers, are an impressive 7-3 Against The Spread (ATS) over their last 10 home games. The Utah Jazz, have went an almost flawless 8-1-1 (ATS) over their last 10 games on the road.

Digging a little deeper into these two teams, the Utah Jazz have gone an incredible 18-4-3 (ATS) over their last 25 games, while the LA Clippers have balanced out a 12-13 record (ATS) over their last 25 games. These two teams squared off against each other in Los Angeles less than a month ago on February 9, 2010 and the Utah Jazz cashed in as 5 point favorites as they defeated the Clippers 109-99. Mind you, this was a Clippers team who then still had Marcus Camby on their roster!

The numbers go even deeper in this matchup over the last 3 years. The Utah Jazz have absolutely dominated, going 8-1 (ATS) vs. the LA Clippers during this time span, including a 3-1 (ATS) record when playing in Los Angeles.

I see the Utah Jazz to continue keeping the sports betting world happy and cashing in tonight as 6 point favorites. If you’re betting on basketball tonight, roll with the Utah Jazz (-6).

FREE NBA Pick – Spurs @ Trailblazers – 2/4/2010

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , on February 4, 2010 by edluva

FREE NBA Pick

Thursday, February 4, 2010 – 9:30pm (cst) San Antonio Spurs at PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS (+2.5)

I really like this line here people! Both teams have similar records, so we know it will be a close game. Here are some stats and recent trends that are helping me make my decision on the outcome:

STAT                       BLAZERS      SPURS     ADVANTAGE

Avg pts at Home     100.5                   X

Avg pts on Road         X                      97.2     Blazers by 3.3

STAT                     BLAZERS        OPP       ADVANTAGE

Avg pts at Home        100.5             95         Blazers by 4.5

 Last 5 Games              102.4          103.8      Spurs by 1.4

STAT                          Opp           SPURS       ADVANTAGE

Avg pts Away            96.8             97.2             Spurs by .4

 Last 5 Games           100.2           101.2            Spurs by 1

Now…….keep in mind The Blazers are GETTING 2.5 points. Therefore, for every situation where the Spurs are favored, take away the (+2.5) that The Blazers are getting, and the ADVANTAGE goes towards the TRAILBLAZERS across the entire  board! Not by much, but the sweep across the board is very impressive!

Here are some more trends to consider -

PORTLAND is 7-2 against the spread vs San Antonio over the last 3 seasonss

PORTLAND is 4-0 agianst the spread AT HOME vs San Antonio over the last 3 seasons

PORTLAND is 3-1 straight up AT HOME vs San Antonio over the last 3 seasons

My money is on -  PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS (+2.5)

NFL Playoffs Round 1 – New York Jets vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Posted in Uncategorized on January 9, 2010 by edluva

(From my ACE’s VIP Club E-mail) Here is my 2 minute drill on todays NFL Round 1 st matchup between the New York Jets and the Cincinnati Bengals. The Jets have the NFL’s #1 Rated Overall Defense as well as the #1 Rated Rush Offense. The Jets are averaging 21.8pts/game and give up 14.8pts/game. The Bengals average 19.1pts/game and give up 18.2 pts/game.

The Bengals have been having trouble putting up points all season, period. They only average 180.6yds/game in the air and 128.5yds/game on the ground. The Jets defense will be able to keep them at that for sure. So, I don’t see a big scoring threat by Cincy.

Mark Sanchez is an average rookie QB, at best. Playing on the road to boot. As long as Sanchez keeps his cool and doesn’t turn the ball over, the Jets defense (#1 in the NFL) and ground attack (averaging 172.3yds/game) should be able to squeeze the Jets past the Bengals in Round 1.

J – E – T -S……Jets, Jets, Jets! (+2.5)

BCS Championship – Texas vs. Alabama

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , on January 7, 2010 by edluva

Wow, this is going to be a great game. Two undefeated and well coached teams go head to head for the NCAA Football BCS Championship!

#1 Alabama Crimson Tide – has both the 2nd rated overall and run defense in the country. The Tide gave up on average only 11 pts/game on defense, giving up on average 79yds/game on the ground and 163yds/game in the air. On offense, Alabama averaged to score 31 pts/game averaging 215yds/game on the ground and 197yds/game in the air.

#2 Texas Longhorns – has the 3rd rated overall defense along with the 1st rated run defense. The Horns gave up on average only 15 pts/game on defense, giving up on average 62yds/game on the ground and 189yds in the air. On offense, Texas averaged to scor 40pts/game averaging 152yds/game on the ground and 279yds/game in the air.

As you can see, two very evenly matched teams on both sides of the ball. Texas’ stronghold on offense is their passing game (279yds/game) with Colt McCoy behind center. Bama’s stronghold on offense is their rushing attack (215yds/game)lead by Heisman winner Mark Ingram.

Both teams have similar Run Defense which will effect Alabama’s offense more as they rely on 215yds/game on the ground (differential of 215-62=153). Texas will also be effected on the ground (differential of 152-79=73). Both teams have similar pass defenses as well which will effect Texas more as they rely on 279yds/game in the air (differential of 279-163=116). Bama too will be effected in the air, but not by much (differential of 197-189=8). The combined differentials are also dead locked at Texas giving up 189 and Alabama giving up 161.

So, where do we go from here? The pressure was taken off of Texas weeks ago when Bama passed them in the BCS rankings to be #2, behind then #1 Florida. Texas had its scare vs. Nebraska and will be prepared tonight. Not quite sure if Texas will pull of the win, but they will keep it close. Therefore……………Hook’em Horns! Texas (+4)!

Last night’s Free Basketball Pick hit nicely!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , on December 30, 2009 by edluva

I hope you took the Cleveland Cavaliers last night liked planned! I had all of my sports betting VIP clients take them as outright winners on the MoneyLine at (+135), as they beat the Atlanta Hawks 95-84! Tonight, they have the unusual back-to-back rematch against the Hawks, this time in Cleveland laying 6 points. While I do see the Cavs winning again, I am not sold on laying 6 points to a young aggressive team like the Hawks, especially after you just played them the night before. Therefore, lets stay away from this matchup, unless it drops to around -3.5 or - 4.

My NBA Basketball Betting System also pulled down another easy winner last night too! If you have not yet checked out my amazing sports betting system, you need to today! Time is money people!

Cleveland Cavaliers, basketball worth betting on (basketball betting system or not)!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , on December 28, 2009 by edluva

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been RED HOT as of late! They dominated the Lakers on Christmas day and followed up with a dominating performance against the Houston Rockets last night (my NBA Free Pick winner yesterday)! Lebron James, Mo Williams, Shaq and the rest of the team have the night off as they prepare for a big game vs. the Atlanta Hawks in Atlanta on Tuesday night! The Hawks have been playing great this year as well. This game will not disappoint!

As far as betting on this game, it is too early to tell if my basketball betting system is choosing this game as the best game of the night to bet on.  My basketball betting system is based on day to day trends. Therefore, we never know the best game to bet on until the day of.  However, if I had to choose today, I would guess the spread will be quite close (maybe Cleveland -3.5) and I would have to give the early edge to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Enjoy this great matchup!
